We’ll be exploring various National Parks and Gardens, with one unique garden even located indoors. These destinations offer a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature and learn more about the environment. So, get ready to discover the wonders of the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, Aquatic Gardens, and the Botanic Gardens, perfect for a memorable summer vacation.

National Parks and Gardens

  1. Aquatic Gardens: 1550 Anacostia Ave NE, Washington, DC 20019 (Hours: 8:00 AM -4:00 PM; closed New Year’s Day, Christmas Day, and Thanksgiving Day)
  2. Botanic Gardens: 100 Maryland Ave SW, Washington, DC 20001 (Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Daily; except Christmas)
  3. National Zoological Park: 3001 Connecticut Ave., NW Washington, DC 20008 (Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; closed on Christmas day)
